Mercy Aigbe is currently the talk of the town as she recently added to her landed assets a multi-million naira mansion for herself and her kids in a choice area in Lagos. 

Taking to her Instagram page, the light-skinned actress and entrepreneur shared the good news with her fans, adding that she never thought she would be able to acquire such an asset this year. 

According to her, a caterer named Luminee gifted her a mansion-like birthday cake when she clocked 40 in January and prophesied that she would buy her own house before the year runs out and it came to pass.

She also hinted that she has been struggling to build her own house before this expensive acquisition.

on the 1st of January, 1979 as a second child in a family of five at Edo State, Nigeria, Mercy schooled at the Polytechnic, Ibadan where she had her OND in Financial Studies went on to the University of Lagos in 2001 for a degree in Theater Arts. Mercy Aigbe son Olajuwon Michael Gentry is 7 years old as of 2017. Mercy Aigbe daughter name is Michelle who celebrated her 16th birthday in 2017.

MERCY AIGBE MARRIAGE 

Mercy Aigbe is married to her husband Asiwaju Olanrewaju Gentry who already had three children from his previous marriage. They legally married in 2013 at the Ikoyi registry. On Mercy Aigbe wedding; there was no church wedding celebration, or she did not have a ‘white wedding’ as it is fondly called.Mercy is currently experiencing problems in her marriage due to her husband Lanre Gentry repeatedly battering her as a result of her suspected promiscuous activities.

Her sojourn into the movie industry

Mercy once revealed that acting for her was at first hell because she didn’t get paternal support from her father who believed nothing good could come out of it.

Now know as one of the top rated actresses, Mercy kicked off acting in soap operas before going into Yoruba movies. She featured in few Yoruba movies and when she started getting more scripts from Yoruba movie producers, she found her calling in the Yoruba movie industry.

Marital Controversy

Mercy was accused of snatching her current hotelier husband, Lanre Gentry from his former wife before her marriage. Apparently Lanre Gentry was still married but seperated from his first wife when he started going out with the actress.

The mother of two revealed her current husband wasn’t divorced as at the time they met but finalized his divorce before they got married.Achievements
